Booking The Games Barn is very simple. Please note it is cheaper to book directly with ourselves as we charge no booking fee and do not have to pay commission to other website providers. However, we only accept payment by cheque or BACS transfer. If you wish to pay via PayPal, credit card or debit card then please log on to www.holidaylettings.co.uk. and follow the automatic booking process for our property.

Step 1 – check availability and price
Our price list for direct bookings is shown below. We charge an additional £25 supplement per pet per week/short stay. We also charge a surcharge for electricity if you use more than 35 units per night (245 per week) of electricity from the grid. . We had solar panels installed in 2023 so would encourage all guests to strive for zero imported electricity – it can be done. The surplus charge is to protect us against the very volatile electricity prices at the minute and also to ensure that people take care when using the electric heaters. The price per unit above the limit is currently 40p (as at Nov 2022) but we reserve the right to increase this rate if our suppliers increase theirs. Please note short breaks are not available in the summer season. Our up to date calendar is available at www.holidaylettings.co.uk .

Step 2 – booking
Complete the booking form and either send it together with your deposit to the following address:

or email it to holidays@thegamesbarn.co.uk and we will reply with our bank details to enable the deposit to be paid by internet transfer.
In both cases we will email you when we receive your accommodation booking form and deposit to confirm their receipt.
Step 3
6 weeks prior to the start of your holiday you will need to pay the balance of the fees to us. We will send you a reminder about 8 weeks before your holiday and you should pay in the same way as for step 2.
Step 4
To ensure that your stay with us is as relaxing as possible, please make sure that you remember to check out our list of items to bring etc. and make arrangements accordingly. Please remember that this is a self catering home so you will need to supply all consumables including loo rolls etc. We also recommend that you print yourself a copy of the directions before leaving home as several satellite navigation systems seem to struggle to find our location! If you wish to order some of our farm produce for your stay we can supply most cuts of beef, pork and lamb including home cured bacon and home made sausage, beef burgers and lamb burgers while you are here. If you wish to pre-order please let us know on the booking form and we will leave it in the freezer for your arrival.
